You know when you buy something with a no-return policy and then regret it immediately after?
That’s what happening to a lot of voters who supporter President Biden. Instead of buyer’s remorse they have voter’s remorse.
It’s also happening for some Democratic representatives who backed the new POTUS. They knew he wasn’t perfect, but he’s so much worse than they expected that they’ve had to openly come out against his policies.
A group of four Democratic Members of Congress recently stated their opposition to one of Biden’s (many) executive orders, noting that it damages their districts and hurts America in many ways.
That could be said for almost all of Biden’s executive orders, but in this case the members of Congress have a particular issue with the President’s banning of any oil exploration on federal land.
From Supporting Biden to Major Regret
Democrats fell in line behind Biden from the start. After his comeback in the primaries and despite issues around his mental coherence, the mainstream media and Democratic politicians all sung the same tune.
Biden was going to lead everyone into the “green” future. Biden was going to restore social justice and “norms,” Biden was going to be polite to the media again (so much for that).
Now four Democratic Members of Congress from Texas are majorly regretting their support after Biden’s oil ban on federal land.
‘Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs’ at Risk from Biden Order
Representatives Marc Veasey, Vincente Gonzalez, Lizzie Fletcher and Henry Cuellar recently sent POTUS a letter asking him to please take back the executive order that bans oil and gas leasing on federal land and water.
“A federal ban for any period of time will certainly imperil hundreds of thousands of jobs, entire communities, and billions of dollars in royalty revenues to the Federal Treasury and eliminate funding for important conservation programs such as the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).”
The order will cost about $700 billion in GDP and lose the federal government one of its biggest sources of revenue. It will also force America to be hooked back up to foreign oil.
🚨🚨 Biden banned new oil/gas leases on federal land & water.
He’s waging an assault on American energy.
The outcome:
– USA Jobs/Production shipped to China, the Middle East & Russia
– Weaker national security
– Higher household energy costsThis will crush workers & families.

New Mexico Will be Hit Especially Hard
According to the letter from the four representatives, one of the worst-hit states from the executive order will be New Mexico, which is already majorly struggling from economic devastation and the consequences of the pandemic.
“New Mexico, a small, poor state that receives a huge portion of their revenue for things like funding Albuquerque schools, will find this rule devastating,” the letter reads.
“Such a rule could also tighten supplies, send heating and cooling bills up, and cause a spike in fuel prices during a pandemic. Furthermore, this benefits Big Oil over small independents that did not have the resources to stockpile permits. We should instead work to make sure we create jobs by hiring more inspectors to make sure methane emissions at the well head and other rules that allow for cleaner extraction are taking place.”
The Last Thing the US Needs Right Now is Job-Killing Executive Orders
As everyone knows, the economy is struggling right now and people need jobs. Biden’s executive order is basically the exact opposite of what our current political and economic moment calls for.
The letter emphasizes this strongly, noting that:
“Now is not the time to jeopardize American jobs, or the critical tax and royalty revenues that federal leases generate for local, state, and federal government that need funds now. Instead, we should invest in our nation’s infrastructure and create the jobs that will help our nation emerge stronger after this pandemic.”
