Gina Carano is a famous actress and former Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. She gained the public’s attention in the reality TV competition series American Gladiators and has gone on to star in various movies and shows including Fast and Furious 6, Deadpool and the Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian premiered in 2019 and Carano plays an important role in the show as Cara Dune, but after controversial social media posts the studio Lucasfilm and her talent agency UTA rapidly dropped her, saying they no longer work with her in any way.
Carano’s posts were potentially offensive and not smart, but they were far from something to be fired over. However an online mob quickly formed demanding she be fired.
UTA quickly did so, as did Lucasfilm, with the production company noting that Carano is done with them and there are “no plans for her to be in the future.”
According to Lucasfilm, “her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
What Did Carano Post?
Carano has already been on the radar of online progressives since posting things about her conservative views. She’s criticized the effectiveness of mask wearing and joked about transgender pronouns by listing “beep/bop/boop” on social media as her pronouns. She’s also made fun of the left’s attempt at a second impeachment of President Trump and made it clear that she’s on the right side of the political spectrum.
In other words, Carano seems like a genuine – and funny – conservative woman. Which is great!
But in Hollywood that’s a no-go. So of course they had to take her latest posts out of context and claim they are anti-Semitic and racist.
On the Instagram post that really got her in hot water, Carano compared Nazi persecution of Jews to the current political climate in the US. She basically said that we don’t realize how bad things are getting where people may physically harm each other because of politics.
“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…. even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”
In other words, Carano said that Nazis are bad and that we should stop hating each other so much. She also posted a photo of Jewish people being chased by Nazis to make her point hit home.
To compare current political tension and hate to the Holocaust is stupid – and she deleted it soon afterwards – but it’s far from “racist” or worth being fired over.
She spoke the Truth about the Left’s attempt to dehumanize their fellow Americans.
That is why @Disney had to “cancel” @ginacarano.
She is a brave woman.

Is This the New America?
The Mandalorian appears on Disney Plus, a studio which had no problem shooting Mulan in China where over 1 million ethnic minority Uighur people are in prisons and concentration camps, but they’re very concerned about a post that might be a bit melodramatic from a right-leaning American actress? Come again?
If this is the new America then every person needs to stand up and say no regardless of their political beliefs. This is no longer entertaining or funny in any way and has reached the point of actually becoming dangerous.
Carano losing her job is one thing – and far worse things happen every day – but if a famous person can be fired on the spot for a harmless and dumb post, imagine what can happen to a regular person who posts something bad. How far are we from people having their bank card shut down over a bad joke on Twitter or their car insurance cancelled after criticizing the mask mandate on Facebook?
