President-elect Joe Biden is looking at an embarrassment on day one of his presidency.
We’re talking about articles of impeachment, courtesy of Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene of Georgia. Maybe there is some justice in this world after all.
Taylor-Greene announced her plans recently, saying she plans to go after Biden for “abuse of power” and questions of he and his family’s connections to Communist China and dealings in Ukraine.
Flipping the Script
While the House of Representatives moved forward with impeachment of President Trump on Wednesday, voting 232 to 197 to impeach for “inciting insurrection,” Taylor-Greene was focused on dealing with Biden’s alleged corruption on day one.
“On January 21, 2021, I’ll be filing Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden for abuse of power,” she tweeted, adding in an additional interview that “we cannot have a President of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies.”
According to Taylor-Greene, Americans are horrified by the idea of the coming Biden presidency because of the progressive overreach and crackdown it will likely represent, a far cry from the “unity” Biden keeps promising.
“I can’t imagine people in this country being so fearful of the future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like they did in the Capitol here in Washington, DC,” Taylor-Greene said.
“The American people need hope, they need to know that there are Republicans in Congress who are willing to stand up and fight for them regardless of being in a minority, regardless of having all odds against us.”
Taylor-Greene Defends Trump, Denounces Democrats
In her other comments before Congress, Taylor-Greene emphasized that the media narrative on Trump is all wrong. In fact, it’s the Democrats who have a far worse history of inciting violence and political extremism.
“He has held over 600 rallies in the last four years and none of them included assaulting police, destroying businesses or burning down cities. Democrats have spent all this time endorsing and enabling violent riots that left billions in property damage and 47 dead,” Taylor-Greene explained.
Prior to Taylor-Greene’s comments in Congress, Democratic Congressman Jason Crow of Colorado said Taylor-Greene is a dangerous person with extremist views that should not be allowed in Congress.
Crow, who has said he felt unsafe coming back to work at the Capitol after last week’s riots, said that Taylor-Greene and those like her are ruining the nation’s politics.
“There are, unfortunately, a handful of members of Congress — and Miss Taylor Green is just one of them — who are morally bankrupt,” Crow said on CNN. “They are depraved, and they’re frankly dangerous individuals.”
Don’t Crow’s words sound just a bit “inciting” to you? What if his words caused an unhinged left-wing extremist to become dangerous towards Taylor-Greene? Perhaps it’s time for Twitter to consider shutting down Crow’s Twitter account. Just joking, that’s obviously never going to happen since the censorship only applies to conservatives.
In any case, now that Taylor-Greene has put her foot down on Biden the narrative is shifting. Even with the Democrats in control of all three branches of government in a week, people like Taylor-Greene are making it clear they won’t let the whole country be walked all over by these China-loving propagandists.
Still, some on the right say her belief in QAnon theories make her the wrong representative for any impeachment efforts against Biden.
Watch the video below. What do you think about Taylor-Greene’s impeachment plans?
On January 21st, I’m filing Articles of Impeachment on President-elect @JoeBiden.
75 million Americans are fed up with inaction.
It’s time to take a stand.
