President Joe Biden barely showed his face on the 2020 campaign trail.
But according to Democrats and their late night talk show allies, he was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. He would bind up the wounds caused by President Trump’s mean tweets and restore those mysterious and powerful “norms” that apparently are so important to the left.
Biden was going to be a peacemaker, a healer, a bringer of prosperity, “science” and honesty.
Well, so much for that.
Only 36 days into office and 46 has already scorched up the Middle East with an airstrike, supposedly hitting Iran-backed militias in Syria.
Bring on the peace with your rainbow bombs, Mr. President!
You can practically feel the diversity blasting through you just thinking about it.
Why Did Biden Bomb Syria?
The decision to bomb Syria was based on hitting Iranian-backed militias in eastern Syria whose forces had previously hit US military members in Iraq with rocket attacks.
The airstrikes by the Biden Administration reportedly killed at least one fighter and injured a number of others. According to Washington, the strikes were a proportional response to the rocket offensive against US forces last month, but the US also kept its attack low-grade so that tensions aren’t too inflamed.
The thing with military action is that once you launch it’s not always easy to put the conflict back into a bottle or define where it starts and stops.
Biden is seeking to rejoin the 2015 Iran deal that President Trump pulled out of, but it’s not clear how attacking Iranian proxies in Syria is going to encourage that process. If anything it will make Iran even more likely to deceive and manipulate Biden with lies and obstructions.

Details of the Airstrikes
The recent US airstrikes reportedly hit near the Iraq-Syria border and targeted personnel and equipment from Iranian-backed militias who Washington blames for last month’s rocket attacks on US forces in Iraq.
Specifically, the US was targeting the Kataib Hezbollah militia near the border region.
According to one Iranian militia official, the attacks killed one fighter and injured four, but according to on-the-ground sources the strikes were actually more damaging and killed more than 17 individuals.
Anti-American actions in Iraq have been increasing, and the rocket attack on a US base near the embassy in Baghdad was definitely serious. By hitting Syria and Kataib Hezbollah, Biden is increasing the pressure, although they deny last month’s attacks.
‘De-escalate the Overall Situation’
According to the Pentagon, these airstrikes were all about de-escalation. Spokesman John Kirby said that the main goal was to hit Iran-backed militia infrastructure and show that the US will respond to any attacks on its troops.
“President Biden will act to protect American and Coalition personnel. At the same time, we have acted in a deliberate manner that aims to de-escalate the overall situation in both eastern Syria and Iraq,” Kirby announced, noting that the US strikes had also damaged areas used by the Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada militant groups.
While it’s clear that Iran’s government is not a friend to the United States or its allies, it’s not clear how bombing groups in Syria is going to “de-escalate” the tensions in the Middle East. What’s more, is that this does not seem to be the time to be launching millions of dollars of high tech bombs to kill desert vagabonds at the time when millions of Americans desperately need economic help and clear answers about the pandemic, economy and the future of the country.
US forces in the Middle East have accomplished incredible things and their sacrifices and heroism should never be forgotten. They did what they could and now it’s time for Middle Eastern countries to fix their own problems. We need to stop taking responsibility for every country’s issues and focus on America First.
Biden is another hollow puppet like Obama, and if we’re not careful he’s going to lead this country back into disastrous Middle Eastern wars that Trump tried to get us out of.
