The free market has done a lot of good for America.
This used to be a country where an honest man could work hard and earn enough for a good life. That’s not the case anymore.
Multinational companies and greedy conglomerates have worked with loopholes in the rules to screw over workers, while unions who should be representing them all too often just reward the upper ranks of the union and posture for political point-scoring.
Meanwhile workers are left behind having to listen to rhetoric.
We’ve all heard the stories:
Amazon workers peeing in bottles or delivery drivers having to rush to get to an address on time and causing accidents.
People being dismissed without proper notice or cheated on overtime.
Workers being told they would get $2,000 months ago only to receive $1,400 several months late from the corrupt and fake Biden Administration.
Now a strange news story out of Georgia is showing just how mocked the American workers is these days.
Paid in Pennies
Andreas Flaten worked at A OK Walker Autoworks in Peachtree City, Georgia, but left the job last November. The things is, he was still owed $915 dollars.
He waited and waited, but his employer didn’t seem to be in any hurry to pay up. Then he saw a surprise at the end of his driveway earlier this month: a large pile of oil-soaked pennies with a note on top swearing at him. As Flaten observed, the grimy 91,515-penny mountain on his driveway was a very “childish” gesture.
Flaten had already had enough of being stonewalled, and had even gone to the state’s labor rights department at the Georgia Department of Labor to try to pressure his former employer to shell out his paycheck.
They apparently got the message and responded in this petty – or should I say “penny” – way.
Flaten’s recent shock at going outside with his girlfriend and seeing a massive mound of copper was eventually replaced by a determination to make it work:
So he cleans off the oil and grime and is trying to make them possible to cash in at the bank, since no bank will take highly dirty and grease-soaked coins.
“I think that’s going to be a lot of work for money I’ve already worked for. It’s definitely not fair at all.”

Flaten’s Former Employer Responds
Flaten’s former employer Miles Walker said he wasn’t sure if he’d dropped the pennies off at Flaten’s place, showing just how cowardly a prankster can be when they don’t think they’ll ever have to pay for their antics.
“I don’t really remember. It doesn’t matter he got paid, that’s all that matters,” Walker said, adding that Flaten is a “weenie.”
I don’t know Flaten, and maybe he is a major weenie, but the amount of work it must have taken to find and then unload tons of heavy oil-soaked pennies at his home is almost impressive in its vindictiveness.
Flaten’s girlfriend Olivia Oxley said she hopes this reminds people of how badly many employers treat their workers and said she and Flaten are now working to see if they find any treasures buried in the copper pile.
“With that many pennies, we’re bound to find a few treasures,” Oxley said, adding that she and Flaten have “already found one from 1937.”
“After the first shovel full, all we could do was laugh because this poor miserable man took so much time to be vindictive and cruel. We absolutely refused to let him ruin a single moment of ours,” Oxley added.
