The mainstream media narrative about the origin of COVID-19 has always been unclear. We were told from the beginning that the virus somehow spread from bats or pangolins to humans at a wet market in Wuhan, China.
Proof? Not so much.
Now increasing amounts of evidence are coming out that COVID-19 came from a government-run lab in Wuhan, not randomly out of a market.
US National Security Adviser: ‘The Lab is Likely the Most Credible Source of the Virus’
US National Security Adviser Matthew Pottinger is coming out with the direct accusation that a Chinese-run lab in Wuhan is the most likely source of COVID-19. In a recent conference call with officials from the UK, Pottinger alleged that the wet market story just doesn’t add up and the virus likely came from a Chinese government facility in the city.
“There is a growing body of evidence that the lab is likely the most credible source of the virus,” he said.
His comments came as the EU signs a new big investment agreement with China’s authoritarian Communist government, pushed in part by pressure from pro-China Germany. The fact that incoming President-elect Joe Biden is also soft on China is another part of what motivated Pottinger’s concerned remarks.
Hey, do you all remember the time when China “accidentally” released a biological weapon on the entire world and the press just kinda stopped following up on finding the true source…which was obviously not from a wet market? Yeah, that was fun.

Looking for Evidence of China’s Part in COVID-19
Pottinger has consistently focused on the seriousness of the coronavirus and looked into its origins, talking as far back as January of last year about how the dangerous virus likely started in a Chinese research lab and may have been released either on purpose or by mistake.
A leading Chinese scientist who has remained unnamed did come forward to say she did some of the first research on COVID-19 and that it was made intentionally as part of a research project and covered up by China’s government after it was released.
Most Western medical experts say this is unlikely that the virus is man-made, although it is certainly possible and other leading experts and virologists have theorized that it is a man-made virus.
Pottinger on WHO Investigation: It’s Fake
On the same call with British politicians and authorities, Pottinger also sounded off on the World Health Organization (WHO) investigation into the origin of COVID-19. The world health body is sending 10 scientists to Wuhan to look into the origins of the virus.
“MPs around the world have a moral role to play in exposing the WHO investigation as a Potemkin exercise,” Pottinger said, adding that “even establishment figures in Beijing have openly dismissed the wet market story.”
Pottinger’s claim may have more to it than many realize. After all, the US government’s National Institute of Health (NIH) gave $3.7 million to the Wuhan lab that was studying bats from caves where the disease is believed to have first appeared.
It’s clear that the official narrative on COVID-19 is at best very incomplete and at worst is an all-out lie. The United States has a key role to play in uncovering exactly what happened and holding China’s authoritarian and extremist government to account for its negligence or possible criminal intent.
Bioweapons are a dangerous and very real thing and if China is proven to be behind this – even unintentionally – then the deaths of the past year and economic damage can be laid at their doorstep and reparations and severe consequences should be pursued. Pottinger is absolutely correct that people cannot just take China’s word for the origin of the virus and also in comparing it to the worst propaganda of the Soviet Union with his Potemkin analogy.
