The crisis on the southern border is truly terrible.
Former President Trump recently called it a “national disaster” and called out President Biden and his Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for their completely unacceptable handling of the crisis.
Under Trump, unaccompanied minors being processed at the border were used by the liberal media to try to increase anger against Trump.
Now under Biden the problem is much worse, with some minor detention centers crowded up to 700% over capacity.
Although Biden now says migrants should “stay home” and not come to the US, his pro-amnesty executive orders and virtue signaling made many illegals think that the door would be open.
This included children, some of whom are trafficked. The numbers have been steadily rising and now have reached a truly disturbing level.
Alert: 14,000 Unaccompanied Minors in US Government Custody
With steadily rising numbers there are now more than an estimated 14,000 Unaccompanied Alien Minors (UACs) in US government custody.
Soon after Trump left office the situation was still under control, with around 5,100 UACs.
Now around 5,000 are waiting in Border Patrol custody at overcrowded detention centers, and 9,500 are in the custody of Health and Human Services.

All jokes aside, Democratic Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut recently visited the border and said he had to fight back tears watching a small girl crying for her mom in one of the detention centers.
Children reportedly take shifts sleeping on the floor and are not allowed to call there parents or go outside much during the day, with minimal sunlight and bad food.
No word yet on when Biden will be coming by to creepily smell their hair.

Huge Spike in February Part of Worsening Crisis
Just in February alone, border patrol intercepted 9,300 minors, a huge rise from January, and there are indications that the numbers are only going to grow.
“What you have got to remember is this, is that March, April, May and June are the peak months. So we’re going to see some big numbers,” explained Texas Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar.
In February there were around 100,000 illegal immigrants caught at the border in total, up 170 percent compared to February of 2020. Furthermore, the amount of UACs has massively increased, as mentioned.
The only difference is that now the media appears to have decided they aren’t “kids in cages.”
The kids are often coming because of poverty and crime in their own countries as well as the perception that Biden may go easy on them. The two large hurricanes last year in Central America have also motivated many people to go in search of a better life.
Many of the UACs come from Central American countries like Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
“Poverty, high levels of violence, and corruption in Mexico and the Northern Triangle countries have propelled migration to our Southwest border for years. The adverse conditions have continued to deteriorate,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, adding that the government expects to have more illegal immigrants and UACs this year than its seen in decades.
After being intercepted by border patrol, minors are required to be turned over to Health and Human Services within 72 hours, although reports have emerged that the Biden Administration has been breaking the law by not following that rule.
Biden says more shelters are being built to house all the kids and the many more expected to arrive and says the shelters will be ready sometimes in April.
Most of the UACs are teens, some of whom have been trafficked and even sold into prostitution. Mexico’s President has even called Biden “the Migrant President,” concerned at how Biden’s policies are giving more power to drug cartels and human traffickers along the border regions.
